Several members and Leaders of the Hawston, Mount Pleasant, Zwelihle and Hermanus communities met and have decided to form a new group to promote community safety, as well as to advance the town's interests as far as possible. It was decided in the last few meetings that the R43 will not be closed again for any protest action. The UFR will operate within the legislation to support stability and economic progress that will benefit the broader community. The Hermanus whale festival and the upcoming Steve Hofmeyer Concert as well as the Concert in Zwelihle and Hawston at the end of the month. The UFR has decided on cooperation between communities to protect Hermanus from those who wish to tear it down, as well as to resist the germs that do not carry Hemanus's interests at heart. Hermanus is everyone's village and also a legacy for our children and grandchildren. The UFR would therefore like to warn those who make any further attempt to destabilize the town, that we will not tolerate it any further. We will work with the Neighborhood Watch, SAPS and Private Security company types to ensure this. The community has had enough and will do everything in its power to make the town safe and governable again. The UFR also wishes everyone in the Hermanus a wonderful Whale Festival, Steve Hofmeyer Concert, Zwelihle and Hawston Concert and ensures that we will do everything in our power to stop the any bad elements.
Regards UFR
