Hi MrBeep and Co

I have a product suggestion....

Why not offer a 1gig local only account with openbrowse?? I seem to be using all my cap on facebook, myadsl and web surfing and have no need for any other protocols

I currently use about 2 gig a month on browsing with cost me R140 from webafrica.....The cheapest "Local only" account from openweb is R69 for 10 gigz and then the R60 openbrowse cost which totals R129 for 10 gigz..... That equals R12.90 per gig but I only need 1 or 2 gigz not 10


So can u think about offering like a 1 or 2 gig local only account with openbrowse?

i would vote for IS unshaped fiber to become a prepaid product if at all possible that would be leet vs rest of unshaped offerings at R125 for 1G

...what i would like to be able to do from an isp is to dynamically select a combination of local and international bandwidth as one account
and billed as such. ex saix 20 gig local and 1 gig international without having 2 separate accounts for it.

I know this is a bit off topic but can you use openbrowse with Xbox Live. If so I will agree that such a service will be great for me.

Only if the XBOX can be programmed with a proxy server address and as long as the XBOX traffic is HTTP traffic on port 80
 
Openweb mail server

Any openweb subscribers having problems getting in to their e-mails?
Openweb told me (just after 3 pm today) that the server is down - will be back up by 4 pm. It came on briefly after 5, and now off again.
Anyone know more about this?

iI posted a query elsewhere, but got no reply so far ( sorry I am anxious for feedback) Anyone else having a problem getting in to their e-mails?
Openweb told me just after 3p.m. that server is down, they in turn were told server will be back up at 4 p.m. I t came on for 5minutes just after 5 p.m., and has since been down again.

Anyone have more info about this?
