Here's the lyrics to a song by NOFX about the American Government. In some parts it's symbolic of our own government, and the apartheid regime, and any other government on the planet for that matter. You see, people are never pleased with government.

I don't think that it is so dead obvious at all. Poverty has always existed all over the globe - believe it or not. Even in countries that have not been ruled by "outsiders" for centuries. This notion that everything was great at the southern tip of Africa until the bad people came along is nothing more than fantasy.

There has always been poverty but Apartheid cannot be just shuffeld under a carpet and forgotten as a major contributer to the poverty in SA. That said, the ANC has most definetly failed the poor and are lining thier own pockets rather then making good on the promises they made to the people. Only problem is that these punks will never be removed from thier positions because the people still fall for the rubish they spout. One has to wonder how the ANC can win an election by such a margin when one week after there was rieting in the streets over failure to perform. The people are clearly not using thier vote wisely.
 
guys , how about we all plan to hijack these cars?

i say we should hire some thieves..pay them R100 and get them to steal the wheel caps and stuff..

Yes, apartheid was a really dum idea, all I'm saying is the ANC should have been far more ahead in the alleaviation of poverty then they are.

Lets really anilize thier track record.

1. First they spend billions on weapons and aircraft and ships that are most certainly unnescesary. This money would have been better off used in housing and other social program. Not to mention that the arms deal seemed to be a front for some officials to line thier pockets.

2. How many top officials have been in court over the last 15 years for corruption? Off the top of my head. Zuma, Shake, Busake. Many more.

3. Travelgate.

4. Housing, Eskom and other municipal failures.

5. Floor crossing, which caused many votes to be just so much toilet paper.

6. Now this BS with spending on luxury cars.

plus other crap. And these jokers are voted in time and time again.:cry:

I agree that Apartheid sucked! Hell, I wish it was ended in 1964 so that we didn't have to deal with all these issues. I also hated the previous government. Ban this ban that... No wonder some people feel that we are only experiencing now what other more developed countries have learnt to cope with decades ago. We have a lot of catching-up to do, but we are still supposed to be the richest country in Africa. That includes Egypt, by the way.

Yea, but as the richest country in Africa one would think that poverty would not be as big an issue as it is. Itgoes back to the Idiots who rule the country, don't it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I once read someware that SA produced half the worlds gold and a good chunk of the diamonds so....

I'm just saying.

I agree (I think). We were ruled by idiots before, and now that Apartheid is gone, we are ruled by idiots again. Let's just hope that the current idiots are less idiotic than the previous ones. At least the previous ones helped build a country that stands out from the rest of the countries in Africa. Let's hope that these idiots will try to keep it that way. :p
 
At least its a Cayenne. Still a bit of a stretch, but its more appropriate than a Carrera GT.

They can drive Maybachs for all I care as long as we get competent policies & government in return. One shltty law/policy can cost 100x more than all the gov cars put together.:sick:

98% of the worlds wealth is controlled by 2% of the worlds population. Poverty is not exclusive to the ANC run nation of south africa.

And... the ratio there seems fitting apsecially for the ANC elite... 98% live in poverty while the 2% buys Porches - with tax money! :whistle:
