High Internet costs making headlines

You do have a say mavx, when you vote in the elections, at least thats what this woman would probably tell you.
I am surprised that CB never pushed the issue further with her, I mean really, with those kinds of answers, rofl.

I totally agree with you, but lobbying for the representative of our ward, voting for his pollitical party and knowing him on a first name basis isn't going to get me very far. A lot of us in the area made an effort to get out and vote, it doesnt really make an impact in the short term but at least there's a slight more competetiveness that creates a healthier political situation. I'd still love to know what powers we, the public have over these shares. I could bet my last cent that in the small print it says basically that the Government acts for and on behalf of the South African public and therefore manages these funds and shares accordingly as they provide the services etc. Furthermore becoming exempt from any regulations with regards to conflict of interests and competition. Basically we all payed for the shares that are so mysteriously owned by you and I but aren't invited to the (Fictitious) end of year Christmas party in the Maldives using 0.1% of the profit that they made.

In a perfect world we would have an organisation set up that oversees and manages these shares "On behalf of the South African Public" (Insert evil smirk worn last night by our dear friend on Carte Blanche here).
