Like I said, I posted the same response I had to every forum I posted my request at. And as explained to Alchemist, I was calm and to the point. I don't need to sugar coat anything to make anyone else feel better about themselves other than me.

And yes, I know ****all about humility and patience as I know what I want and I go for it with no holds barred. Friends are my friends and enemies don't want to be my enemies because I let nobody mess with me.

Bending over and taking it up the ass... I'd rather give that job to someone who wants it...

try playing a healing class
 
I played on Ahn Qiraj for a couple months with various adsl accounts. Normal Saix,Saix Unshapped, IS, Verizon. All in all verizon was the most stable, constantly between 300-500. Saix unshapped was the lowest 200-300 but would experience spikes.

You should try running repair.exe sometimes it has to do with you cache files that cause lag. But overall ADSL > Iburst for gaming without a doubt.
 
I cancelled my Iburst as it seemed to just deteriorate from around December last year.

your getting alot of lost packets

go with adsl 4 meg telkom or even 384

trust me iburst plus gaming = big no no

I am actually... to me lag is the MMPORG players frames per second is to FPS players... I just dont get why better is always best. I can heal just fine on 1k ms lag as you with 20ms

And yes, didnt you know? the world revolves around me

I have to be honest I didn't try Verizon... but aren't they using satellite bandwidth?
 
I suspect it might have something to do with your location in our awesome crime free country as well. For me personally there is zero difference between shaped and unshaped. I have had 512 and 384, no difference between them either where WoW is concerned.

hi there

a while back i took a test run with a company called pheonix.net, they gave a me a 1 gig account to test.Instead of using digital the account uses fibre optics and well it ran very smooth indeed, Only thing i had with the account is that towards the end of the 1 gig the game started to lag slightly.

My latency was below 300 constantly and raids were no problem at all

Problems has stopped last Week, I had few dcs in Serpentshrine on Lady Vrish, but that was playable ... I think I will use the Telkom own installation.

Ive been in exactly the same situation
SAdly the game has been balance to a ssystem where ppl dont have lag
(and are pretty much flasked and potted up, but thst another debate)
25 man encounters are really techincal now and being able to 'hide' in the mass
of fellow players, with high latency is alot more difficult

With 600ms its Ppretty much impossible to dodge gruuls cave in
USe the cube for interupt magtheridons blast wave
and a whole bunch of imperitive actions with the new content

My advice is to reroll and run around mulgore killing plainstriders ;p

yeah i have to agree with u there

ive rerolled and come back out of shadows and rerolled a rogue on QT (UE) ms is constantly above 600 in a populated zone,I did however try a kara and SSC run with my m8ts account and found that good ol SA connection was really terrible.

ive said this before in another post and that is people who play from a SA connection have a common 2-3 second lag frame no matter what connection u have, its becos of the region of the world we in.

for people who use SA connections i would prefer they use a ranged class becos of this delay and as a former raid leader i would want my melee/healing classes with proper 1st world internet connections doing the bashing and healing.
 
Also remember that all classes have rolls in new content
SO even trying to choose a class more playable a less suitable pings suxs at the new raid content

Or havent u seen that Natural Perfection have have dropped Magtheridon recently ? They are, as far as I know, only south african players with.

btw I'm not saying telkom ADSL lines are just fine & dandy.
