Ok so I bought a Hiksemi future lite 1TB NVME drive several weeks ago.
I got 7GB/s read speeds but after two weeks I started noticing heavy stuttering and loading issues so ran a benchmark and got 64MB/s read speeds but oddly write speed were still fast like 5GB/s

I returned it and got a replacement and within two days same thing, read speeds 64MB/s and still fast write speeds so have logged to have it returned and a refund.

This is more of me being interested in what could be causing what's happening?
I find it odd that both ended up with read speeds of 64MB/s, the temperatures only moved between 42 and 43°c.

What are the reviews like for these drives?

I also bought one of those but for windows as secondary boot which I hardly use so that is not good news.

They have good reviews from what I've seen but ssds manufacturers are notorious for changing the hardware after getting good reviews.

i mainly use hiksemi nvme for my builds, though I hardly bench them. They just work .

Yeah what I read before buying seemed reasonable, I still am interested what could be happening or if I just got very unlucky and got two dud drives in a row but I find it very suspicious that both end up with more or less 64MB/s read speeds

They are likely from the same batch so could be an issue with the whole batch.

Or it could be your psu's 3.3v line that has an issue.

I tested in two machines and swapped out drives I know work and they worked fine.

Thinking of replacing it with an Acer predator VM7, anyone have experience with one?
