As the title suggests, this is a thread for owners of the Hisense 55T36 Full HD LED 3D TV. Hopefully it can also be a reference thread for potential buyers.

Please keep personal opinions about the different technologies available in LCD/PLASMA to their relevant threads!!

I have recently acquired this TV from HiFi corp on the R12999 + free 32" deal. Unfortunately I had to have it replaced as the light bleed/flash lighting was horrendous.

I must commend HifiCorp for their quick response and genuine consumer concern though, I phoned and moaned on Saturday and Monday morning they where at my house with another one. Sure, its going back as well, lol, but im sure they will get it right eventually.

Does anyone know of a site where we can get the full specs on this TV? The closest I have found is this Australian site http://www.hisense.com.au/products/television/detailed/type/38/209#features

Whats got me wondering is that on that site it says the TV is edge lit, the sticker on mine says LED Backlight, different models?? They are both T36's.

Anyways, if you have one of these, or know more about them, please share.

They are the same thing :-) led backlit just means it uses leds :-)

Yes they are read the article again :-) you get full array and edge lit, both are using led as their backlighting. So the hisense is indeed led backlit but edge only.

Ah, my bad, marketing shmarketing

I thought LED Backlight meant full array.

I thought LED Backlight meant full array.
Not really, full array usually implies the ability to independantly dim the backlight LEDs (on high end models). These days even budget TVs are coming out with low-cost non-dimming LED backlight designs.

How many are they going to replace before you realise that this tv is not worth the stress.

Lol they're sending another? Third time lucky - let's see. :D

Just spoke to HiSense in PE, they are going to organise hisense techs from Durbs to come and tune the tv.... will wait and see...

Anyone no hificorps money back policy? Just in case, i dont want to run out of days.

Admirable on their part, but one has to once again ask, do Hisense's own techs know what they're selling? Bleak prospect considering Hifi Corp's salesmen and warranty handlers do not. Haven't the faintest how tuning is going to resolve the issue.

The act allows for 7 days as far as I know.
