Hit & Run caught on camera, causes massive accident....

Nea, I seriously think something was up. No way the person recording it on their phone purely by accident. Something happened prior to recording.

Think you are onto something. Maybe they clashed earlier, hence the stuff that fell of the car at the beginning of the vid prior to him ramming into the bakkie.

Well anyway, hats off to the motorists who stopped him. Very brave and quick-thinking

Happened on the N1 north just past Old JHB road turnoff.

I saw on maroelamedia that people noticed his driving wass off when he hit the barrier at the oliefantsfontein turnoff and kept on driving even after that car was smoking so they followed him and started filming.... :wtf:

This makes more sense. Thanks cavedog :)

It's always vaguely possible the guy was just in shock and disoriented after the impact and carried on driving as a result.. benefit of the doubt here?? People can react strangely to accidents. In any event that would probably be his legal argument.

I put it to you:

Well, I am diabetic, and have witnessed 2 strokes in happen in front of me. But yeah, take it as you will.

Most probably drunk then. Without the facts, worth mentioning the minor possibility of stroke/diabetic insulin shock or other medical causes, though. It happens.

Well one of the witnesses that pulled over say that she could not smell alcohol at all but that he was seemingly unaware of what happened and what was going on around him walking up and down.

A bit long for me to translate so try google translator :)

To qualify, it's a 'nice story' but ruined when he tried to drive away.

The guy in the Ferrari is still in the wrong. He shouldn't have been speeding.
