HIV created by West to enfeeble third world, claims Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has claimed that Western nations created HIV to enfeeble the third world and create a market for Western pharmaceuticals.

The radical Iranian leader added to his reputation for outlandish statements with the clam that African states were being false told that immoral behaviour was the source of epidemics.
"Today there is this outstanding question that why so many killer viruses, including the HIV virus, have spread all over the world. Many so-called experts say the spread has come as a result of vices and immoralities but we see that in the centre of the places that these viruses have emerged these immoral acts have not been reported," he said. "Then how is it that at the same time in some African countries they find these viruses?
"It is obvious that the African countries must be plundered of their wealth and resources. The major powers and despots are behind the development of these diseases so they could then sell their drugs and medical equipment to the poor countries".
Iran¹s Health Minister Fatemeh Vahid Dastjerdi has also said that Iran¹s profit margin from its oil production is only five percent of its total sale price, whereas pharmaceutical firms¹ profits is 20 percent for each drug they sell.
President Ahmadinejad has previously said that Israel in its present form should be wiped off the face of the map and suggested that the September 11 attacks on the US were planned from within.
"Some segments within the American government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy, and its grips on the Middle
East, in order to save the Zionist regime," he said.
The Iranian president also claimed there was no homosexuals in Iran.

Really?

I can understand them being diagnosed at the same time considering it was only isolated relatively recently but I didn't realise they had actually appeared at the same time.

I always find conspiracy theory nonsense like this "HIV engineered by the West" thing hilarious. The idea of anyone being so far ahead of the rest of the world that they could engineer an entire virus all those decades ago is so insane that I can't help but laugh. What a moron this Ahmadinejad is.

As far as I can recall, it was first noticed in the gay population in San Francisco, then it was discovered in Africa, and in retrospect, my comment was fairly stupid, since, it's been since established that it probably originated in Africa.

The strange thing is, that most African countries are loathe to accept that it originated from their locale, for obvious reasons, and here's this fruitcake asserting otherwise, albeit with a completely unhinged conspiracy theory as to it's actual origin (although right about the location most likely).

In any event, I HIGHLY recommend that book, I think you will enjoy it maximally.

You're correct, kind of. It was a disease found in monkeys that spread to humans via the consumption of monkey meat.

Bushmeat practice as the most plausible cause

According to the natural transfer theory (also called 'Hunter Theory' or 'Bushmeat Theory'), the "simplest and most plausible explanation for the cross-species transmission"[7] of SIV or HIV (post mutation), the virus was transmitted from an ape or monkey to a human when a hunter or bushmeat vendor/handler was bitten or cut while hunting or butchering the animal. The resulting exposure to blood or other bodily fluids of the animal can result in SIV infection.[21] A recent serological survey showed that human infections by SIV are not rare in Central Africa: the percentage of people showing seroreactivity to antigens – evidence of current or past SIV infection – was 2.3% among the general population of Cameroon, 7.8% in villages where bushmeat is practiced, and 17.1% in the most exposed people of these villages.[22] How the SIV virus would have transformed into HIV after infection of the hunter or bushmeat handler from the ape/monkey is still a matter of debate, although natural selection would favor any virions capable of adjusting so that they could infect and reproduce in the T cells of a human host.

Nope, it was because the homosexual population at the time was going through a sexual revolution, and as a result there was a hell of a lot of multiple partnering, and unsafe sex going on.

Added to this, was the general medical field at the time, who thought they pretty much had a handle on communicable diseases, so there were not sort of social warnings and information we have today about the dangers of this behaviour.

The question though, have monkey's always had the strain or was it something tested on them? No idea nor am i suggesting anything.

The thing is, is not as simple as 'monkeys had HIV and gave it to humans'.

There are a variety of viruses that underwent mutations, it's a very complex story to unravel.

Why would people be testing monkeys in the middle of the central African rainforest anyway (it would have to have been in the 1800's sometime as well, probably)? That doesn't make much sense to me.

Well let's say you had a virus to test, where would you test it? Granted i would imagine it would be easier to infect them in an enclosed area to monitor them but perhaps they did that and the monkeys never really took to the virus, so they just released them. I am not suggesting they made the virus to kill blacks but africa has always been a good place to do dodgy shyte because it's so messed up.

Look at the flu they are busy changing and making it way worse. They even want to publish that shyte on the interwebs. I am glad the US told them to F off and leave some stuff out. Humans can at times be very stupid. I read that story and thought why are we engineering that flu virus to kill 50% of victims and be transferred easily. I mean granted we need to be ready for anything but what if it is released by accident and we have no cure? Seems idiotic to me.

They did it to the Native American indians by poisoining them with a bunch of diseases on purpose inlcuding the chicken pox towels, not to mention they gave people in South America sphyillis I believe in the late 50-60's in order to study them and they have yet to really apologize for this other than just saying sorry on TV(google it).

These mother f'ers are clever and sick, they will do whatever is necessary to remain on top but 'times are changing' and with the help of science, the playing field in the future will be more even.
 
I think at one time they must also have released a stupid virus into wild and it seems to have infected a lot of people.
 
Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are crackpots and so is any one that supports their theory about aids

You don't seriously believe this, do you? The HI virus is just a mutated form of the Simian Immunodeficiency Virus. The science of the time was not advanced enough to mess with viruses on that level.

I've heard about the chicken pox blankets, even South Park had an episode referencing that. Still don't understand how people can so quickly dismiss the possibility.
 
It does seem US scientists never minded testing stuff on their own people. Reading that wiki link assuming it is all true would lead me to believe that is very possible they tested many things in africa.

If they are willing to subject their own people to testing why not africans?
