Hoarding stuff, what's the point?

I have a 1 harddrive policy when it comes to movies and shows. I keep the current stuff for friends and family but as soon as it turns into a TB or so i delete the oldest stuff. I don't see the point of allowing a "collection" to spread onto two drives, but i also don't see the point in deleting stuff when the drive is only half full.

If i ever want something i can just download it again.

I only keep the stuff that's worth keeping, movies and series. Most of it is HD stuff and the TB's add up really quickly, plus with children in the house kiddies movies provide countless hours of entertainment. They don't mind watching something more than 5 times a day, next day it starts all over again.

PS. as we speak I'm watching Kung Fu Panda 2 for the third time.

I keep what I like, all nice and sorted by sickbeard and couchpotato. When stuff is in HD it piles up quickly.
