[Hoax:] Iburst bandwidth doubled at no extra charge

I'm very upset. Why tell anyone? Keep sending email on behalf of their CEO and force them into a tangle so tight they have to make the changes!

The fact that all "know sightings" were by users with less the ten posts was a bit of a giver . . ;)

Just imagine the CIA content scanners at the moment. One thread contains Bill Gates, Osama and WMD ... Red lights flashing all over the show :p
 
While I appreciate freedom of expression this cannot be tolerated on the forum. Until more information is presented I believe it best to lock this topic

Funny tho, in the past WBS denied other things, like the "deathbycap" and the "problemsarentonoursideitsyour VIRUSSES" story.
other things have been vehemently denied in the past, so why would i start believing them now?
And why would helplessnessdesk confirm that it was true.
Congruency has not been one of WBS'S strong points...............................
Conjecture is that they are testing a market response,?
Frightning is that the server was hacked and peoples private details have been compromised.
Maybe its the opposition party looking for a ready-made userbase?

aaaahhh i dont even know what 2 say about this... so sad... gonna go cry now and return to my state of imense hate for WBS...
Why dont they realise how happy everyone was when this email came through and just push us up anyway.. they dont even have to do the unshaping and I'll be happy.

What I find strange is the sheer contempt with which most forumites are treating this. I don't think anyone realises just how much damage this could've caused. I think we all deserve, and should demand answers from WBS.
 
No incident report yet

I would have thought a responsible company would have given this exploit an Incident Report entry, but not WBS.

Also, Menlo Park is not responding in spite of the green light on the status page.
