)At this point I'm too much of a chilli novice to say whether its possible to grow a ghost chilli, but I dont see why not. There are plenty of seeds available on Bid or Buy, and both the sellers that I ordered from proved to be reliable. I dislike one of them because they advertize a certain price but then the fine point says the auction is for X number of seeds, so multiply the cost by X to get the actual cost. Why not just change the actual price? Anyway, so I dont use that seller, dont want to name and shame but you'll quickly pick up who.
Erm... so back to the actual question, I think ghost chillis would be slightly more difficult to germinate, but once they have germinated, I think most or all chillis like the same conditions. Basically, hot with lots of light and not too much water. One of my habaneros came up last night, so if that came up (and thats a pretty hot chilli) then I dont see a reason why a ghost chilli (or bhut jolokia) would not.
EDIT: in fact, one of the sellers is based in PE. You can probably go fetch the seeds yourself! Seeds and All I think its called.
Yea thanks, i see that PE seller does the same thing you mentioned though, about the price for 1 x the actual Qty listed so thats also dodgey, why can they just list the proper price! So stupid, anyhow ive got some seeds starting to germinate them, im just wondering how must moisture they need? Ive put them in a FNB money bag(plastic) with some gotten wool and a bit of moisture, and they are laying on top of my external HDD, because its the only constant place with regards to temperature!! lets hope one or two seeds sprout!
@Ancalagon, did any of your seeds sprout before two weeks? I just dont want two weeks to come and none of my seeds have germinated! That would suck big time!
