i dont know why but some idiots out there like to call me allot especially from 1am to 5am. up to even 5x times or more and then when i answer and thats if i answer its like eeeee, eeeee, eeee Eish something.

anyone else getting an increase in idiot calling ? (not to mention then 10 odd sms advert craps)

lol, well for each spam advert i have made open a case with waspa if only i could do the same with the fools who can't just get it the the first wrong attempt that its not the correct person.
 
I had that at one stage. Saved the number and when I saw it come up, I'd answer in Xhosa and chat a bit (until I ran out of Xhosa phrases that I knew). But then when I'd say that it's the wrong number, they wouldn't believe me. ;)

The person would phone me 3 times in a row - just checking if maybe the person they wanted would answer.
 
i had the idea once of playing some hardcore porn in the background for the first 10-15 seconds and then stop and say "hello?"
 
I also had this person phoning all the time, so I phoned back and got hold of her right in Soweto. Eish, I told her fortune and threatened her with the police and never got bothered again! Eish!

i just say nothing now and let them be on as long as they want to be on; maybe i should add deep breathing voices or play some horror flick something like that....
 
I used to get one guy phoning at off times. He couldn't comprehend it was the wrong number. In the end I answered the phone and leave him to chat with himself - after a couple more calls he stopped. Guess listening to dead air became too expensive :)
 
...ok letting then talk to themselves option works best it seams; they stop very quickly if you just let them be on their own instead of not picking up or cutting them off.

lol, yes sure; they will keep on trying- trust me just because the phone is off doesn't mean its the correct or wrong number for them. Unfortunately logical approaches doesn't work on the un-logical people.

yeah used to get that ALOT from 1 number too... used to just answer it and throw the phone under a pillow or something

just waste their air time :)
 
I remember the 1 time they kept phoning my dad so 1 time he picked up and they asked for their usual person so my dad said that person was dead... a lil harsh but the phone calls stopped ;)
 
I get one every two weeks or so. No point in explaining it's the wrong number. I just ask them how their week was and put the phone down so they can entertain themselves for the next 20 mins.
