Anyone notice the latest version of HA supports TensorFlow?

Noticed this, very keen to try it out. I have two outdoor Hikvision cameras configured in H/A, as well as outdoor PIR's. Generally they act well enough, but having the ability to
a) configure motion detection on the hikvision
b) when it detects motion, take a snapshot
c) run the snapshot through Tensorflow
d) if a human is detected, fire the alarm
e) if it is a tree, dog, hadedah, do nothing

sounds like a great idea to me and I might be able to stop using the outdoor PIR's.

Yeah I would expect it to say "****, nothing is connect or I can't find your alarm system" but it's dead silent.

So I can only think something with the R3 interface is confusing the issue.

I get the AP to show up, connect to it and join it to my network and after that it goes silent.

The behavior that you described is very odd.

It interfaces with HA using MQTT. The sketch sends commands using MQTT to an MQTT broker and HA subscribes to the required topics and reflects the statuses accordingly. If you’re familiar with MQTT, it should be a walk in the park.

Out of interest, have you tried connecting a esp device and the IP module. I had this setup and it just seemed to corrupt the data lines. Seems like you can only have one connected at a time. Makes sense but wondering if its possible to have both

No need for the IP module at all with this solution. The IP module is more of a hinderance. This ties straight into board using the serial port.

Did some additions to my HA setup tonight. Got a 12v led strip and a sonoff sv, and now whenever someone walks into the study, the led strip lights up the work area for 2 hours after motion is detected. If you are still sitting down after 2 hours you need to walk around anyway ;p

Also added pushbullet notification in prep for monitoring water levels in the Jojo as soon as my tilt switches arrive.

Yeah like I said the R3 I think is the problem.

I subscribe to all MQTT topics on my network and everything else shows up no hassles.

Reason I asked what the HA config looks like is that the original project apparently required Nodered in the middle to work.

The dev however doesn’t do HA and someone else just commented a solution in which seemed unnecessary to me.

Exactly my plans - unfortunately my outdoor camera died last week - going to need to find another.

I actually had a dream about this the other night - I got home and was cleaned out, including the cameras. There were just wires out the wall ...

Yeh - guy was holding a newspaper in front of his face - but - they managed to get more details from neighbours camera's in the street, based on his clothes, and time.

But a D1 night be the best answer anyway. I can be powered by the serial port as well I recall.

Which Hikvision cameras?

Do they interface natively with Homekit or do you use Homebridge?

I would love to be able to setup this kind of functionality

They have a plugin for Home Assistant -- https://www.home-assistant.io/components/binary_sensor.hikvision/ -- that can pick up if the camera detects motion, line-crossing, face-detection, area-penetration etc.

I don't think they have native support for Homekit though simply because these are the "pro" cameras. Hikvision's consumer line, Ezviz, might have it eventually.

This is very interesting. Do you have any more details around these items? I could not find any info on the dimmer, but did find the socket - is it the Sonoff S85?

Awesome. I did a search for the S55 and found the following filing with the FCC: https://fccid.io/2APN5-S55/User-Manual/User-Manual-4013508 - we would obviously want the S55TPD variant. Great to see that they are supporting South Africa. I echo @SauRoNZA 's comment though - why would they produce a waterproof one but not an indoor one?

IW100 and IW101 do not appear to support 220V.
