Do they just have a major backlog?

They are not providing us with the necessary certificates to have the devices approved for import.

It's all good importing for personal use, but once you start importing big shipments then customs starts to sniff around.

Hi folks,

I am very interested in getting my Paradox alarm system tied into Home Assistant, but I first need to purchase the IP150. Please give detailed feedback on your experiences with the integration also keeping in mind regarding the issues with v4.1 of the firmware? I'd hate to purchase the IP150 and discover that it doesn't work at all with these integration.

Besides Tertiush implementation, I also found this : https://github.com/tracstarr/ParadoxAlarmControl

I'd be quite keen to know which one is better and which one works out the box the quickest with Home Assistant.

I also found a discussion regarding bindings for OpenHAB - https://community.openhab.org/t/help-build-binding-for-paradox-alarm-panel-with-ip150/1712

My goal is to tell Alexa "Good night" and she turns of all the relevant lights and arms the outside beams, not to mention me being able to arm/disarm my alarm remotely, view its status and getting a notification when it goes off.
Did you get anywhere with this?

If you're just worried about firmware compatibility, I posted a link two or so weeks ago that works with old and new.

I haven't tried it out yet - but do intend to - my hacked version of tertius' code is unstable at times.

Hi Everyone. I have tried searching, but a lot of the info is old - Is anyone using a Sonoff POW R2 as a Geyser control. I have a house that I rent out, but it stands for periods of time and I want to be able to turn the geyser's off and on remotely - But at the same time make sure there is an override if something fails, or the WAN is down (its in a remote area). Is there something better thats out there that people are using. I ready its better to have a relay as well ? Currently my breaker shows 20A, but I see this is only 16A - Maybe the 20 was high for the geyser ? Thanks in advance.

I think the consensus is to use a contactor

I have once seen this consensus you speak of.

Many people in here happily issuing the Pow R1/R2 as is.

I am not just referring to among this community... I feel it is the preferable solution, sure many guys are using the sonoff directly (and yes I agree it can and does work), but lets be real if you were going to do it the best way possible you would probably use a contactor?

I have no idea what a contactor is (and neither does my dictionary) so it’s unlikely.

Google electrical contactor, basically it is used to switch larger loads with a small switching input.

A contactor is an electrically-controlled switch used for switching an electrical power circuit. A contactor is typically controlled by a circuit which has a much lower power level than the switched circuit, such as a 24-volt coil electromagnet controlling a 230-volt motor switch. Wikipedia

It is basically a large relay (in simple terms). The coils come in different voltages.

I would suggest a Shelly EM with a contactor. Not sure I trust the Sonoffs that much.

POW R2 works perfectly for my use case. 3KW Geyser and max draw I see on the POW stats in 13A. Have mine set on a schedule.

Complete noob here with a question.

The input of my garage door motor is connected to an ET receiver.
I would like to add a Sonoff SV or similar without disconnecting the ET receiver.
Has anyone done something similar who can post a how-to?

The receiver has nothing to do with it.

There will be a BT (button) contact which you can wire the SV to so it’s a push button like a wall switch. If you have a physical wired button already you can just bridge it in there.

I did this and documented it many many posts ago in this thread, so you’d need Google it to find it.
