In Docker?

I know directly in Unraid it’s no big deal.

Out of interest what else have you installed that needs that kind of interface?

Hmm I wonder if the Docker container could talk to a USB > Serial interface easily enough.

Didn’t realise they have a Docker image.

My Microserver may just be close enough.
I have an orange pi to which I connect my usb interface for my alarm. I then use ser2sock to expose the usb-serial device as a tcp socket. Then from openhab I connect to the the ser2sock over the network.

You could do something similar if you able to run a daemon directly on unraid, not sure if you can.

Yeah If cable reach is a problem that might work. Maybe better with the Wemos I already have so
It doesn’t cost money.

Docker and USB will definitely be able to work, it’s just whether it’s an effort or not.

Unraid can do anything Linux can do.

Well, it's not so much the Coral, its the software thats gonna be running it. I started with Deepstack (no coral) but it stopped working and I could never get it running again. After that moved to Frigate with the Coral. Its very much a beta but for the most part it works. The only issue with these projects is that the developer can lose interested and you are left high and dry. While it's far more accurate than motion detection every now and then it sees my umbrella as person.

I ordered from mouser in the states and then organised private shipping.

Okay I was under the impression they were free samples not units for sale.

So I’ll forego mine to whoever else comes along as I don’t have cash for that exercise now.

Please can someone explain to me how these work with no neutral?

Ill have to wait for an American sized one. I had to jimmy the cables for one of my light switches as it was impossible to pull a neutral thought.

I think the US ones are the perfect fit

Do these come in 2 and 3 gang?
I havent seen a 2 or 3 switch unit that doesnt require a neutral wire. Something about not having enough current to handle it properly or something like that.
Im just glad I made sure I had neutrals in all boxes when my house was built recently.

Weird.
You'd think if one works, 2 or more should work on the same principle

Pool automation

What you guy done with pool automation?

At a basic level use a Shelley to run the light and pump?

Sensor for water level

Auto top up

PH probe with continuous reading?

Temperature monitoring

After being used to run the pump for an extra 3 hours?

Anything else?

Do you not get automatic pool controllers for filter backwash etc that does that on a schedule?

I use a basic on the light, and a pow2 on the pump - my run time is adjusted by various weather variables. Haven't done more than that.

I have my wellpoint pump automated, so it fills the pool when I manually backwash each week.

Care to share more? I.e. what cameras etc. you are running, and how live it is?

I'm seriously interested in doing something similar.
