Awesome.. The Shelly 1 will do the job for most things. Hopefully they get their documents sorted out in the short term cos I'd like the 1PM and Shelly 2.5s as well in the long run :)

The Sonoff Basic and Wi-Fi switches work perfectly with Google Home voice commands via Google Home Mini, no reason why the light switches won't work.

Hi all, I need some assistance with what is called a "finger plate". Basically we've got some Sonoff TX UK switches and would like them to appear as 120mm x 120mm plates on the wall. Your UK switches are 86mm x 86mm. I require a plate that would fit behind the switch as it is screwed into place and then have an even glossy white surface level with the actual switch.

Can anyone provide help or suggestions?

I am also interested in these plates, would also like a plate that converts the US switch to a 120 x 120 size.
 
Hey all. So my journey has started... sonoff lights are inbound. :D

I have a spare pie and use google... so would Hass.io be OK to set timed scenes and allow "OK google, switch on patio lights" ?
 
For the guys who are using open sprinkler, which valves are you using.

Looking at setting up a system will 8 zones minimum

A Pi 3b+ is recommended for daily use. I've tried installing on a 1b, but it is painfully slow to use. Don't touch that with a ten foot pole.

Using the DuckDNS + LetsEncrypt plugin, you can give Google Assistant access to HassIO for voice control, and enable Google Home to also control it.
 
Hi

I have setup the Sonoff TX 2 gang and 3 gang light switches and they work with both my Alexa and Google home. If you go in to your Google home app, do you see them as light switches. I seem to remember them showing as "plug" switches and you can just change the type (I could be wrong and this might have been in the Alexa app)

I also use a mixture of different valves, Rain, Orbit, Hunters etc. All work the same and haven't had any issues with any, so you might as well go for the cheapest.
 
Is anyone running an automated 50mm solenoid valve/s for their pool based on weather for the day for pool heating?

Im actually looking for the make/model the solenoid valves that anyone has good feedback on.

Have a huge garden and need to be careful with the number of zones.

No - I just turn on my pump according to cloud cover, temperature, degrees of the sun... if none of those apply for the day, I run a maintenance schedule. Didn't see the point of a solenoid.
