Home Automation - Smartkit

The Yeelights just look huge. Do they fit most standard light fittings or only larger type fittings?

Not to bothered about RGB, looking for a good quality White globe, even if it's only warm white.
Yeah no need to even flash it.

I control it locally with Home Assistant no issue.

They are nice and open like that.

Also one of those cases where you can see the light turn on way faster locally via LAN compared to the internet. But honestly, the Yeelight app, build quality, price and cloud services are top notch in any case.

Thanx guys... will start looking for a good link on Ali fro the yeelights.

Is there a smart home brand that isn't the country - that you feel should be ?

Zemismart, complete Xiomi range, basically the stuff all the popular youtube channels review and recommend but that's not available locally (only via aliexpress etc).

Tried and tested smart bulbs (I'll even do the trying and testing if I can get various options at a decent price), BC, E27, PAR38 and GU10 varients (warm white options, hate cool white but unfortunately they are the most popular)

That's what I can think of at the moment.........

So are there anybody in Cape Town, who does these setups as a living?

I have considered it but doesn’t seem worth the hassle over my day job, lol.

Why? You need help? I’ve seen you buy and sell so much kit I assumed you were doing it commercially.

See in my book anything that requires manual intervention isn’t worth making smart as you can only go half way.

You need to fill the kettle, you need to put the coffee in etc.
We normally refill after we use that way it's always full and always available to boil
