What would you need to do to splice a sonoff basic in your roof (according to code)?

I've basically seen this in the ceiling of an extension that was added some time ago. Is it fine?

How can you specifiy Tasmota to default to power on after a shutdown, powe failure, etc?

Just realised I put one on a fridge, and don't want it shutting down and not coming back on

Why a fridge? Is it not used very often?

Simply a matter of fit for purpose and using less space.

Do you really want to sit and solder into a Basic while in the roof?

Or solder wires on before hand and carry it around with you?

Mini just makes a lot more sense.
 
So turns out it was the bloody Circuit Breaker.

The one more thing I didn’t do before deciding to call the electrician because I thought I’d just waste money for no good reason and then need to call electrician anyway.

Even he was scratching his head after testing everything and then by sheer accident bumped the DB board as he was putting the cover back and the thing tripped by itself.

Fantastic service from Eco Direct and very pleasant to work with.

Didn’t have any issue with my Sonoff installation and didn’t automatically blame that as the culprit as I had expected to be the case. Reckons my wiring and everything is to standard and looked professionally installed so I’m quite chuffed about that.

PowerOnState 1
or use TasmoAdmin

Yeh - I've got a text document with the important things :D Things like this you don't really think of needing again.

I also had TasmoAdmin running before, think it stuffed up a few devices with firmware upgrades, so went back to not using it.

That happened to me as well once I upgraded to V6+. Now I even make a point of backing up my Tasmota devices as well.
