Using ansible for deployments, pulls my files from github and my secrets from AWS secrets and then deploys it to my docker containers.

Benefit is that I can reinstall centos on my nuc server, run one command and everything is rebuilt to what it is now.

I'm a devops engineer by profession so scripting deployments is part of everyday work, but the tasmota/sonoff/HA stuff is new to me.
 
Ahh the joys of cheap electronics. Test a Sonoff SV for a week, works perfectly. Turn the power supply off and on, now ghost switching for days.

I am looking at this Shelly 1 and was thinking to myself, this can also do what the sv does, but in a nice enclosing already.

Not ghost switching.

Set one of your other GPIO’s to Relay2. I use GPIO4.

yeah, tasmota.
Restarted Home Assistant, MQTT broker, the SV multiple times. Only after restarting the Wireless AP did it seem to come right.
 
Is the Sonoff SV the only Sonoff that will work with 24V?

I realised I have a few 24v solenoids for irrigation laying in the garage, thinking I could wire those up directly to a Sonoff and use my HA as an irrigation system too?
 
Disclaimer: I haven't really messed around with a lot of this stuff for a while, so getting excited for things that are old news to you guys.

Realised I could also turn lights on and off on the opposite of the house with a physical wall switch that isn't connected to the light, by having a sonoff basic on each end. Then in HA have automations that triggers one basic based on the status of the other.

Thinking this would be a cool use of an emergency light switch button in the bedroom... hit one light switch and all the lights in the house and yard come on... and turn on the sprinklers... and fire tear gas into the yard... and release the snakes... all from one emergency button. Possible yes?

24AC or DC?
