FFS - really not liking the Sonoff Basics... pain in the arse to flash... and keep dropping off the network and not coming back until you cut the power to them

Once you have one done the rest are a breeze to flash. What firmware are you using? I've got a pile running and they are rock stable. Even survive wifi AP's rebooting, dhcp server rebooting.

They were shipped out yesterday - so they might still arrive this week.

I'm still on a old version. 5.8 and 5.9. Maybe some instabilities were introduced?

Same story here. Though I'm not 100% sure of the version.

Maybe I must try roll back - my other sonoff stuff is on older versions and don't give issues.

Yes, but then your solution on of the above products - connected to the bridge or RF direct (either the 4Ch Pro or Sonoff RF).

Yeah I was thinking specifically the ones that use RF and support their remotes to replace the current remote completely.

So flash was quick - and it already seems better... responding much quicker. Wifi strength before and after is 40% - which should be sufficient.

Cool. Will be interesting to see if you don't have any more issues.
Think I'll hold off on any upgrades.

4 Chan has an RF receiver, and the inching means the switch is open for a set period only.

No one has go their hands on them yet, so let's wait and see.

Hmm would mean a lot of extra wiring for me but in some circumstances could happily do the job I'm sure.

You guys that are running Tasmota firmware does it drop off Ewelink? Or is it still operational there as well?

I saw some people having Ewelink notifications that’s why I’m wondering.

Well to be honest for the basic needs it seems a lot easier to just stick with it.

But I don’t have a Sonoff yet so maybe that opinion will change quickly.
