Home Automation - Smartkit

Next challenge... I want to persuade logitech to build mqtt messaging into Harmony Hub

I don't have any issues with Yeelight, probably the most stable platform I'm using with Home-Asssitant

Maybe it goes to sleep or something but I find the next morning the first trigger is very slow to respond.

What about this API then?

Looks like the wrong way round. I'll still use this, to get HA to make the Hub do stuff, but I also want to have a button on my harmony remote that controls lights/sets scenes etc.

/edit looks like you can catch the broadcast state changes and use them to trigger other HA stuff - this could be good :) Would still be nice to have custom buttons though.

Haven't even started yet. Just set the hub up last night.

I already got an answer from Logitech, they've forwarded my suggestion to engineering to see if it can be incorporated in a future release.

Anyone know of a decent Android Widget that works with MQTT?

I'd like something that allows for the control of the devices directly from the android screen, e.g. arming alarm, opening garage, certain lights, etc... Quite a few out there but can't find one that works 100%

Not possible to process via Harmoney --> IFTTT --> HA?

So if the Sonoff loses power does it return to it’s last state or does it just remain off?

Thinking specifically around a parallel connection to the wall switch for my ceiling fans in the bathroom bridged to the lights.

Could get them to shut the hell up based on humidity if they defaulted to an off state.

You can decide.

I created HA Dashboards for that kind of stuff. Then added the dashboard to my home screen on Android. Will attach screenshots this evening, my vpn is down.

After some serious pt - I've gotten HA sending me motion videos by Telegram... still needs a bit of work, but - at least I'll get some sort of video while I'm on leave.

Lots of fun doing all of this remotely with a tablet.... not.

ahahaha fokk ja!

Jeez, these okes are clever. HomeAssistant tells Harmony it's a roku, and receives the keypresses and does stuffs with them!

:D
Nice! :D

I've got a whole bunch of things coming in - no Sonoff's though. What pisses me off about Bangood though, is the fact that they didn't bundle the order together as one. I'm now sitting with 6 different tracking numbers - its almost like they randomly grouped items together.

Interesting, that might work...
As promised

Anyone get flashed Sonoff's working with the HA cloud component? For some reason i can control groups, but I cant control the individual devices (switches) in that group.

Update:
Nevermind, I figured it out. Assistant really doesn't like the way I pronounce names.
