Just let the sonoff switch a contactor and you controll any load.
Do you need an electrician to do this? Ideas on what to buy from where? Really need to automate my geysersJust let the sonoff switch a contactor and you controll any load.
Qwikswitch does has a 30A switch but you'd have to buy the hub. Smartkit can offer a discounted price on all QS products.Do you need an electrician to do this? Ideas on what to buy from where? Really need to automate my geysers
I had bought two of them on special before I moved into my house. Sadly the DB board doesn't have space to mount them so I am hoping a sonoff with contactor both in roof could do the job.For geyser switch, I think what you rather want is something like this:
Available in most stores, even Makro:

Then installed into your DB board it looks like this:

Downside to that is, you won't be controlling it remotely. I haven't yet found something that works like the above and is available remotely. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just haven't found the perfect solution yet.

@Dolby: do you know if a sonoff can handle the heat of a roof??
Sonoff Operating Temp.: 0℃~40℃
I'm not sure what temperature you're expecting in your roof, but this should be sufficient for most use cases.
FYI Sonoff POW Operating Humidity: *5%~90%RH, Non-condensing
I can see my devices in the app - and their power status - but I can't control them - when you go to the individual devices, it says "Network unavailable", but still reports the correct status, signing in and out does nothing.
