I don't do many outward commands, most gets set to my phone via pushbullet but will check this evening. Only event which I can think of that will be useful verbally is a warning that the AC will be turned off if the doors are left open etc.
 
The issue isn't commands - mine don't show in home-assistant anymore - so nothing can be done with them.

Mine are certainly still there, and and i still troll my GF daily with TTS and fart sounds.
 
*sigh* then it's probably the same as mine - as I said in my initial post, they work with discovery.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but with the latest update of the Ewelink Android app, it now has Lan control.

Not sure it works yet as it says connected to zero devices when I enable it.
 
Anyone managed to flash a Sonoff RF?
I soldered on some pins etc, and holding down the big button while connecting VCC results in the led blinking fast. I'm using platformio and a FTDI adapter but uploads fail.
After doing some googling it seems that the issue is that the button on the RF is not gpio0 (as it is on the Basic)

I'm following this guide https://piandmore.wordpress.com/2017/12/16/hacking-the-sonoff-rf/ and going to solder on a wire and a button for gpio0, just wondering if there's an easier way I'm missing, because it seems like they keep revising the boards and changing things slightly.

I had to solder on the extra wire to flash it. Afterwards removed that extra wire to be able to use pairing to the RF remote again.

Thanks. I don't have one of those tiny buttons like in the URL above but have one of those "normal" square push buttons I'll use. Hopefully won't have to use it but I have enough to spare.
 
I also saw another vid where you bridge the two pads labelled R21, tried holding something on them unsuccessfully but maybe it's possible to solder a tiny wire there then just rip it off when done.

I dont remember using a button/switch, that is optional. Just need a wire.

For ease of the job, I add the cables going to the UART at the bottom:

Success... Used a screwdriver on the R21 pads. Have to hold the button, hold the screwdriver and connect VCC at the same time...
 
You need to short two of the contacts while holding the button and powering on. You need like 4 hands.
 
Let a bunch of 4 year old loose in a room with a Basic and magically it’s reset after the party.
