Yes in that context it makes sense to me as well if what you are calling is another script.

But In my mind if it's...

Switch Light ON
Delay 05:00

That tells me the light will switch on 5 minutes after the Automation is started. Not that the light will switch on for 5 minutes and then turn off again.

In many cases I would still have an automation to turn stuff off specifically just in case it was manually over-ridden in between.

Yeah in that context you are using two separate Actions inside one Automation so it makes sense. I was thinking it would just be simpler to have the Action itself be a singular unit with a duration attached so that a second action isn't required.

So using your example I would still probably have a second fail safe automation for off in place so wouldn't really be winning over just having two actions with two automations anyway.

But yeah I'm not a coding geek so didn't consider it in that capacity of combining multiple actions.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a reasonably priced, good quality rgb light strip that I can control via WiFi. Suggestions?

I ain't no coding geek neither.... :)

But yeah, I was and still am vaguely skeptical about the multi action thing.. so i've been watching my pool pump like a hawk.. if it behaves for 2 weeks solidly then I will consider the multi-action thing a success.

Generally overseas :(... but currently with SAPO its not even hit and miss of it arriving, it just doesn't arrive...

I need a 2m strip with a 220v transformer for my kitchen lights, and I cringe at the prices I see in SA when I ordered a 5m led strip and transformer for R300 from China... SAPO just lost it it seems...

Exactly where I want to use it - but I want two short strips for either side of the stove... SA prices are a joke. Might be worth visiting China Town :p Ideally want RGBWW

would be your best bet i think
bought 4m warm white for about R90 - using behind the headboard as a night light
