FYI we now have type approval on the Sonoff Basics and RFs.

And... hopefully we'll have more stock of EVERYTHING this week. Will keep you updated.

You can set a routine ... So I say 'Good night' and it switches off my TV and all my internal lights

I'm not sure if the TV was through SmartThings, but the lights are stock.

You do it through the Alexa app itself - can make it do any light with a custom command of your choice.
 
So just spitballing here.

Wanting to link my alarm with a Sonoff at some point either directly with an SV or sacrificing a remote I was wondering about how I would tell Home Assistant what the state is.

So then I remembered it has a little LED light facing the road to show that it’s on.

Now my question is could I bridge into that wire running to the LED and somehow link it to the Sonoff by means of voltage detection to cause an on state and lack of voltage as an off state?
 
What alarm system do you have? If you have a Paradox, some knowledge on Arduino, you can integrate HA directly to your alarm system. I can send you the sketch if you want it although there is a small issue that I am still ironing out, but overall, it works very well.

It is Paradox but old school so no IP connectivity like the newer systems.

Not sure upgrading it to that for something this small would be good value for money.

I don’t yet have deep Arduino knowledge but I do have some board a mate left here the other day that could potentially teach me.

Simplest thing here just seems to wire a Sonoff SV to the board same pins as the remote and then pull the state from whatever pins powering this LED.

Just not sure what is supported and probably confusing some GPIO numbers in my searches.

But by all means do send the sketch and what hardware you are running it with.
 
If it has a serial port, you’re good to go. You don’t need the IP150 to do this. I had the same problem and solved it without the IP150. I got some code, a spec, fired up the Arduino IDE, got a NodeMCU, modified the code to my requirements and now I have a fully integrated solution.
 
Interesting.

Paradox 1738 by any chance? Don’t recall seeing a serial port but chances are good it has one I’m sure.
