Can someone please explain to me or show me in the right direction on how to use HACS in Hassio?

I've added the community store, installed a few interesting looking stuff, added this code to the raw config editor

Where do I go from here?

Now you need to reference the custom card in a manual card in lovelace. For example i use the animated weather card for darksky. Here is the raw code for it:

entity: weather.dark_sky
type: 'custom:weather-card'

And i also use the fan control entity row in HACS. Code example:

entities:
- customTheme: true
entity: fan.master_bedroom_fan
name: Master Bedroom Fan
type: 'custom:fan-control-entity-row'
show_header_toggle: false
title: Fans
type: entities

Oh and swop your resources around. The type and URL should be as like the below

resources:
- type: module
url: /community_plugin/weather-card/weather-card.js
- type: js
url: /community_plugin/fan-control-entity-row/fan-control-entity-row.js
- type: module
url: /community_plugin/compact-custom-header/compact-custom-header.js
- type: module
url: /community_plugin/button-card/button-card.js

Thanks. I tried that without any success. Added the weather card just to see if I can get that going and it's up and running. Will try the rest now.

Ive often battled to get some of these working. Not as simple as the instructions make out.
 
Hey, I see smarkit sells the sonoff L1 wireless strip . That price is not bad.

Questions for anyone who has experience:- is it possible to drive 10m of strip from one controller and power supply that is provided?

Can it be flashed with Tasmota so it be managed inside Hass?

How bright does it get ?

Thinking of buying two for near my pool.
 
I think this thread is pretty large with plenty of conversations going on at the same time ... making it a bit tough to follow and get an answer if you aren't able to watch it often enough. In the stock Off Topic, I think the 'smart home' queries are just going to be lost as well..

I've asked for this thread to be moved into it if possible - but so long if there is anything specific , we can start posting in the new section

Oh no that it doesn’t do.

But Investec’s bank account isn’t going to do that either.

Was referring more to the buying and loading of prepaid airtime automatically.

I see I missed the electricity bit.

Either way as per your highlight nothing is going to load it automatically unless the meter specifically supports it.

While it’s a noble idea i kind of like the conversational way this thread flows with its regulars.

Probably a good idea for noobs to post with questions and get specific answers though.

This thread is a bit hardcore for the uninitiated.

Well imagine you build your own tool that checks your phone airtime, and if it hits below a certain amount automatically tops up using the bank. I guess you could do this with something else already. But yes if you buy on FNB it does automatically go into your airtime.

FNB does already do that as well. :)

Called Auto Topup.

Didn't say Investec would do it, but with programtic access to the account, I can do it.

But I know I've asked a question and when I come here a few hours later, it's tough to get the answers. Others have asked me something and I miss it entirely - lucky for PM :)

Anyway we can monitor for a few months and change back to the original.

What is the thread limit here ? I know some have a Part 2 and Part 3

Great idea I think.
I would prefer a dedicated thread for home assistant etc... So it doesn't disappear along with all the other stuff.
