Hi Guys

Is this the correct model to connect to my gate motor and also how do I connect it. I have a ET 500 Plus motor. Can I just take the 12v from the battery's supply and where do I connect the rest of the wiring?

yep, easy peasy. Pwoer from the 12v rail.
Then the output bridges the COM (common/ground) and your TRG( Trigger) inputs on the motor

What do you want to use it for? Google CBI Astute Smart Controller. Locally available with all certifications in place. It is only 30A though.

I was thinking of using one on my outbuilding/servants quarters - Will take a look at the CBI option, thanks

sorry for the delay.. needed some time to go and connect it and play :)

i've got
+in connected to the up and down arrows on the digidoor
+out connected to the COM
power connected fine (the SV is getting power)

i'm not using tasmoto, just stock sonoff firmware (using sonoff-LAN with hassio and working perfectly) and testing from the ewelink app. Inching is on and set to 3 seconds.

Is it necessary to remove those two resistors?

What happens is the moment you activate it, you hear a beep from the motor and then the SV goes offline.

Yea you need to remove them to make it a dry contact relay.

At the moment you are sending power to the output which is likely why it’s beeping and then dying as the motor tries to protect itself from a short.

Let’s hope you haven’t friend it already.

hopefully not.. the motor is still working fine.. will remove them and give it a whirl :)

you a genius :) its working spot on!

the only strange behavior is when the garage door closes fully, the motor seems to detect a collision and then reopens. any ideas? You hear the clicking from the motor's board not the SV. Disconnecting the SV stops this behavior.

Fiddle with your pulse time a bit and see what happens.

Mine is set to 10 (milliseconds that is).

If there is no setting for it in the App then it means the button is staying on permanently.

I thought everyone said it was added. They just call it inching I think.

ah ok no inching is there, i've got the timer set to 0.5 seconds you hear the SV click on and then off and the motor operates. You can also stop and start the motor from the ewelink app with the lower inching timer.

So you’d want to try 0.1 seconds then maybe.

Otherwise it might be a motor specific thing but I didn’t need to change anything on my ET.

i think this may be the answer:


like you mentioned earlier, bridging the inputs and then using the outputs to connect to the motor

Do I need a relay for this or do this unit connect straight to motors panel?
