Homefront installation

Slayer - you are welcome to copy my steamapp folder. I downloaded the patch yesterday and played a little last night. Seems pretty good... Just need to get used to the vehicles...
 
Fun game! Runs well for me and I'm also getting a ping of about 10. Everynow and then it will freeze up and I have to exit to windows but its rare.
Sniper is a bit imba IMO, and there aren't too many situations where I use another gun. That story of theirs on mygaming about how they have gotten rid of camping wasn't exactly true, more camping on this game than black ops/BFBC2, specially on the angel island map, the one with all the hills.

Fun game though, I recommend.
 
game is cool ,im just waiting for sniper nerf, because one use snipers they best for close combat and insane range, and im assault guy, hardly getting kills :/
 
Also playing assault - but failing... Will probably get better once I get to know the maps a little better. I must add - the maps are HUGE! I like the TDM where you can score more points for taking out threats. I think that is what causes the guys not to camp so bad.

The vehicles takes some getting used to though...

The early assault guns are pretty weak, once you unlock the assault gun at level 22 (i think) then it becomes more balanced, I think its an M16. M something... till then use the sniper.

I hate starting a new game from scratch later than everyone else. By the time you get in you get pwnd for the first week or so... LOL..

I'll play this until BF3 comes out.. ****ing snipers ruin the game.

I hear you man. I see you online quite often lol. Freaking snipers on that Angel Island map and Farm grinds my teeth..

Or my new preffered method of killing: drive around as a gunner on a hummvee with a madass driver (shodan)

I was online two nights ago when you guys did this. Was funny to see it in action. You were having your way with my team till I decided to start hunting you down with a proximity launcher. :p

Lol, see earlier in the thread what I think about reviews. :) I bought it and I'm enjoying the multiplayer. It even works fine from launch day, compared to the sorry excuse called Fail Ops. I do agree that it need some patching still for performance/friends/squad and a few more balancing issues, but what game doesn't...

I had a strange issue last night, kept saying our team lost when we actually won.
Agree with this though, I wasn't going to get it based on the reviews but I went home did some youtubing of the PC version and it looked pretty good, bought it and I have been enjoying it ever since. Could be because its something different or it could be because its genuinely fun.
 
I'm really enjoying it too. Unlike BLOPS, there aren't any major issues with this game, it works well, and its a lot more fun. The Killstreaks are way cooler I think, I love the drones. You can actually control your killstreaks for looong periods of time. And the "perks" system is better too. The maps are awesome too. I like that there aren't blocked off edges to the maps, if you want to be stealthy, you can find some nifty ways to get around, and the maps are just the right size. The movement and hit detection feel solid too. I definitely recommend this.
