"homeplugs" in SA??

ok, heres the thing. i was messing around the net the other day wen i came across a forum talking about "homeplugs" (dnt know how old that forum post was). its a device you plug into your wall socket and then plug in an ethernet cable from your router/modem into it. (i.e, youre lan cable is sorta plugged into your wall socket via the homeplug) it then inturn allows you to connect to your network via any plug point in your house using another homeplug??!! i mean, wtf, thats genius!!

wat i want to know is if any of you guys heard of this and is it available in SA??
 
Pinnacle Micro, Sahara and I think Rectron sell them. They work well, but can be sensitive to electric devices with a lot of draw or electromagnetism in your house.

Their biggest enemy of course is lightning.
