I wont be paying that.. not two subscriptions... paying for WOW every month is enough, but at least that game justifies its cost. I dont see how this game will last if they charge it based on subscription. Its good.. but not that good.. and the millions of kids that play DOTA for free are not ganna swap over to this game any time soon.

Sure, it might seem fine, but have you ever done the math? Some of the spells only have durations of 1 second. If your ping is 400ms, you have less than 600ms to react.

I had the same problem with Guild Wars. It seemed fine until I played competitively. Some spells in that game only lasted 500ms!! If your ping is over that, there is no way you can be competitive.

I really, really hope they'll bring out a server for this, otherwise this is not going to go anywhere in South Africa.
 
server is on S2's boxes all over US and EU

They are interested in new server locations and on the BETA forum there is a whole thread about a local SA server ":D

It has already been confirmed to be a one time payment.
They made a poll and the 20$-30$ price range won.

It's easy if you add the person ass a buddy - just type in "/buddy add Nickname" (without quotes)

after that, if the person joins a game, you just right-click him and click "join game"

Okay the game is bandwidth thirsty. I played 4 games today.. and its around 100mb.
 
Got my key and have been playing since yesterday.. I have a good laught at the guys.. compalining about noobs but in the end they are on a server that says noobs only..
 
Is this game fun guys? I just got my beta key, gonna download and play when i get home.
 
Its nice, too much colour though, gameplay wise I prefer the old dota.
 
Its a fairly common thing where they complain about noobs in noob games... I don't really let it bother me as a lot of noob games are just fine.

A lot of people go in to noob games to up their stats so things can get a bit ugly sometimes... they have a new player rating system to fix this. So when you join a game it can balance the teams and tell you if some one is either too noob or too good for the other players.
 
can any of you get beta keys ? cos it seems no matter what if you arent on a static ip you cant get one... my friend needs some help getting a key :/
