I got two disconnects for games I joined, but was unable to do anything in. Grrr.

what happens?

did you get IN the game where you see your character, or before?

unable to do anything? like unable to pick, or unable to move?

You get into the game.. you see the chat window with people typing and stuff and people choose their slots, then all of a sudden you see people choosing their heroes.. but you are still in the chatroom and cant pick a hero.. or see them.. then you see the others choose their heroes and say they are ready.. you still just see the chat room interface... if you quit and rejoin.. then you get a green background with a yellow arrow .. and the game hangs.

I see theres another patch.. hopefully it fixes that problem :( But what do I do about my disconnects, i get kicked out of a lot of games now :(
 
LOL.. Now I am in their Forum and I click on the Newerth option.. and it keeps taking me to the tormented soul option? haha
 
As what I can see, hosting a game means only that you get to pick the settings. The game is hosted on a server somewhere overseas, which means that even if the "host" has a bad line and disconnects, the rest of the game still carries on...
Doesn't help much for us in SA though... :D although, if a game is played by all SA players, then the balance is sort of evened out a bit, cause then we would all have more or less the same handicap :)

I agree with a post somewhere here saying we should have a thread for the SA guys game-names... also maybe a nice idea would be to have a thread for games that are going to be hosted by and for SA players :) That way, new players (and some of the more experienced if they want) can all go through the learning phase together...
 
afaik you're not supposed to re-post known bugs - that's why the "view bugs" option is there, with search functions. apparently it takes longer for them to work through if it's the same bug over and over or something..

but I guess if a lot of people post it it would be better, as this IS a big problem - more chance for them to spot it? lol..

Ok wishblade, we'll start a thread once the new batch of 30k-keys are out. hopefully a few mybb members saw the posts and joined. (afaik you can still join, and get a key...)

I agree 100% with your post - same handicap! usually on other games I load last on the "connecting" screen hehe..

perhaps if there are a lot of players we can start a clan?
 
I managed to get one or two people signed up to wait for keys... the more the merrier... :D

My playing nick is the same as here: Wishblade. I haven't got any official stats as yet - I've been running around in private games playing with different settings and getting to know the new item names, alternative paths, hero abilities etc...
Clan idea could work.

But I agree, let's get a couple more people playing(wait for the release of the beta keys) and then we can look at setting up a mini MyBB HoN community :D

If you are lucky, they might give more than 30,000 keys out - otherwise you will have to wait till 60k/75k or 100k probably.... the beta can and will also close sometime - and then we probably need to pay..

AFAIK there are many competitions and sites that give away these keys every now and again - try googeling for "Hon Beta Key" or something?

Join the facebook group mentioned on the first page... When they release the 30,000 beta keys for the fans (the 30,000 mark was already reached but the keys haven't been released), you may be able to get one. Remember though, if you are able to, you will have a 36 hour window in which to do so, so keep checking facebook regularly.
Also, look back here on a regular basis - some forumites get keys every now and then, which is advertised in this thread...
 
join facebook then you lazy bastards - the keys are going to be released soon!
 
Will try and play tonite again, game became somewhat unstable with the release of 1.30.
Probably because of everyone patching and all their servers soft booting.
