So should I Honda or Toyota?

I know these are the best cars in terms or reliability, durability, maintenance, etc.

I was thinking of buying a sedan Honda Civic (from 2006)
Or Toyota (New Corolla, Verso, or Runx).

So Honda or Toyota?

Please no mentioning of other brands coz I'm not interested. :D

New shape Civic sedan vs new shape Corolla? I'd go with the Civic.

Honda definitely. A friend has a 1997 Honda Ballade 180. It's got 385000 km's on the clock and the motor has never been opened.

Honda it is then :D
...but I heard them parts are expensive compared to Toyota's

TOYOTA= RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ALL THE WAY

HONDA no contest

I know you said dont mention other brands so i wont, but you should really Focus on the key issue and that is to get from point a to b in a zoom-zoom :D

I liked the Focus & Mazda, but issues I hear about them (more especial Focus)...

The ford has a bit more niggles the mazda is rocksolid. I know GF has the focus i have the 3 :D
EDIT: Mazda losses its value quickly so 2nd hand they're a steal, one reason i like them.. i dont get them new
Or not that it losses it quickly it just doesnt have that artificially high value that: Toyota, Honda & VW has

No contest, get the Honda. You don't want people thinking you driving a hired car. ;)

Honda is better... they have performance pedigree, Toyota... not so much

My mom's Conquest has 487000 K's on the clock and never been properly looked after. Still gets 14 to 16 ks per liter. I drive a 2002 180GSX Corolla. But if I was going to buy new now I would probably get the Honda. It's just nicer looking. But I don't think you could go wrong with either. :D
