I have a small little lump that built up just above my knuckle if I ball a fist. This lump is about the size of the back of a bic pen that little thing you need to push in to write with the pen.

I have been checking it now since I saw it the first time last weekend on the farm. It doesn;t seem to be getting bigger (As yet) and I thought it might be a ganglion, googled and found out you get something called a Tendon sheath cysts. Now it seems to be on the tendon so WTF? Any one had something like this? How do I get rid of it. And no hitting it with a book doesn't help :p

Ok but seriously, seems like it will have to be removed via surgery?
I'll post a picture later it's really not that big, looks like a pimple stuck under the skin tbh :D

But it's pretty painfull to the touch.
 
Naw the cut won't be big enough to hurt much you cry baby :)

Maybe it developed when you moered your brother? :p

Maybe the finger you are making use of to touch it is actually sore? Just an idea. Try touch somewhere else with the same finger, and if it still hurts, then it is your finger that is the problem and not the growth thingy...

hehe, I can't rule that out but I doubt it. It's on my left hand.

Now everyone is scared of my left hand, but my right hand, damn even I'm scared of that one :o. The right hand did most of the punches.

I don't mind making a small cut and trying to get it out but I'm just scared it might be something else and I break something or mess up something in there :eek:

Does it require surgery though?

Its basically filled with the liquid that lubricates your joints and this liquid has leaked out, maybe from an old injury, and your body can't absorb it because its too thick so it forms a hard lump. A doctor can drain it with a needle or might just prescribe medication.
 
That kid in the photo is a midget or you're a giant. If you don't want to cut it, prick it. If it's puss-y of liquidy then you can apply pressure and squeeze it out. If nothing comes out you know it's solid and further investigation must be done.
