Horsemeat scandal escalates

If i ordered some beef at restaurant and got horse meat i would be pissed.

Sure we eat all animals but the menu says beef not horse. I can only imagine if they used dog meat  Keeper i doubt you would feel the same way bro.

Now if i saw a horse burger and ordered one there would be no complaint.

And that's the only issue - the box/menu says beef, but you have black beauty on the plate.

Imagine if the box/menu said beef but was actually pork....

Eish the jews and muslims would riot!!!!!!!! Imagine it said halaal beef but turned out to be pork

There are even rumours circulating that McDonalds patties contain beef

I hate to affirm stereotypes but it was a meal I bought at a Chinese takeaway.

It probably was chicken though.
That could've been vegetarian chicken also known as soya chicken. Taste and look just like chicken, but not even remotely chicken.

.

Chances are if the kitchen wanted to cut high beef costs and pull wool over your eyes they'd season hoss and sauce it so good you'd not be able to tell the difference and you think damn that a fine oxtail stew, beef stew, bolognaise etc ...you pay for beef and you'll get hoss and won't be any wiser.
Look how many people get fooled with "Crayfish cocktails" - they think they are paying for real Kreef but what they end up with in some unscrupulous places is Monkfish which when cooked and smothered with sauce has the same consistency as crayfish tail.
No problem ordering Horse if it is clearly an option but dont switch without my knowledge.
Once when I was naive and dumb I went to Outshoorn and ordered a mixed grill and ate most of it thinking it tasted well must be the frying oil, until the waitress asked how I was enjoying it. Told me Everything was Ostrich- ostrich wors, ostrich patty, ostrich chops, ostrich egg and whatever else. I smiled politely and put down my knife and fork and to this day cannot eat ostrich again.
