Found this nice free utility that masks your IP address & let you browse the net in privacy - however when I tried to download it my anti virus s/w sees it as a threat! Has anyone used this or can confirm if the program does contain any malicious code?

I use this to avoid Geo-sensing IP blocks. Works ok, but don't expect great speed or good latency.

I've used it quite a bit for streaming - I'm sure it is safe since I've never picked up any problems. Only stupid thing is that every now and again it redirects to their home page so you have to click back several times, especially when you are viewing their 'control panel' with the button that lets you connect/disconnect.
