How are you discovering new apps

Hello!

I have been watching iPadToday on twit.tv for a while now and have found them to be a good source for app reviews. I've also recently come across ipad.appstorm.net

What other websites are worth following?

Both good. Just general blogs, as well as the Apple featured apps in the store.

I find it generally better to first sort out what I need - then go out and search for it

I go and look what the top 100 or so is on the appstore.
If i am looking for something specific, I will google it or look in the appstore for the app with the highest rating.
Got the AppStart app for iPad, gives a number of basic apps that are good.

There's an app called "AppAdvice on the App Store. (http://appadvice.com/appnn)
I think it was $1.99. Well worth it though. It also tells you which app prices have dropped or are on special.

I just look for stuff that is on special via freeappaday.com or word of mouth.

The really good apps you will hear people talking about here and on Twitter and all over the place. Appshopper is decent to see what has been updates and price reductions. I started subscribing to a few lists but there are so many apps I just couldn't keep up. I don't bother browsing or going by any of the iTunes recommendations, but thats just me. Oh ja another decent site is http://freeappalert.com/ will show you what is free for a while and you can maybe grab a decent deal, I've managed to pick up a few gems that way.

This is exactly what I do. I check it every morning for any new and interesting apps. It's partly to blame for the huge amount of apps I've bought...

I mostly look at the AppStore updates on a Friday (New) & (Hot) and also if i'm looking for something specific I will google, get the shortlist of the best and then do reviews from there. But will be cool to check out these other abovementioned sites.

I use Game Trail, Daily App Dream, App All Star. These are free apps for iOS
Also watch Appjudgement (revision3 channel) and sometimes there are good app suggestions on the new Life Hacker podcast.

Magazines are also a good place - T3, Stuff and Tap! For iPad.
