i still have a floppy drive plugged into my iMac at work
my 65yr old colleague needed to get some family pics off it last year from his 1.44Mb Stiffy

kilobyte not megabyte its been so long since i used the word kilobyte i had forgotten it existed

The only thing of worth in Kb these days are .srt files and CV's ( some CV's )
Oh and .conf files.

Yes it does.

I have some older car base maps stored on Floppy drives. Also have the software to make "black widow/widowmaker"ECU chips.

When i was a trainee IBM systems engineer in early 90s we would still get AIX releases via that method.
The RS/6000's still had a stiffie drive ( tape drives where just appearing commercially and where fokken dear!)

AFAIK you can rename drives?.
