Other - passive rental income. But haven't increased rents because my good tenants are struggling with retrenchment and cost of living. Will re-asses in August.
 
Will see, negotiations today, will get an answer next week after meeting, and then it's a question of whether raise is with company or due to job hopping.
 
Seems a little too early to have a thread like this. I assume people will be getting their increases between Feb -> July 2023. I am expecting the increase to just beat inflation (inflation for the previous month, plus 1%).

I want to speak to my line manager about getting a bigger raise this year, so my salary does not fall behind. Last year I instantly resigned because I was being underpaid (57% increase from company A, and a 60% increase at company B).

Guys started pitching their budgets today but will only be implemented June / July.

Crux of the feedback was they could potentially get away with inflation but no new hires.
 
If I don't get 25% I'm looking for other work, my boss knows already

Living in a tin house on gov land...literally a clean shack. I'm known so people don't bother. prepaid electricity and free water. Food is scarce though - I usually do some online transcription and get like R50 a day to buy a beer and a chow. Still studying too so I have to pay Unisa for my Honours program.

It's been a real eye-opener in regard to who my friends and family really are... I used to help them tons when I was well-off. Nobody agreed to help me now. Feels bad man.

4% for the past 12 years.

No pay progressions either

No training either.

And now I got now company shares....because I am W

Best part. My colleague thats just been there 6 months got R150 000 shares.

So I will be quitting this year, and so will the rest of the developers and system administrators.

In matter of fact my direct department went from 17 staff to 3 in just 3 years. All had enough.
