• Which new products would you like to see?
As others have said. Naked ADSL
Naturally faster adsl packages. But I guess that isn't likely to happen unless Telkom can pull it off by upgrading a lot of exchanges and plenty of fiber to support it all.

• Are there areas where Telkom can improve its support?
Faster responses on faults and such.
I would suggest training the newer customer support staff better. Some of them really are clueless on what they're doing and frustrate you more than help. But other than that. I find the support alright.

• Can they make it easier for you to buy their products?
As some people have said already, if they were to make it easier to go about getting something you're interested such as adsl packages etc. The site needs to be more user friendly and easier to navigate. The current packages are somewhat.. "dull" in descriptions about the product for people who dont actually know much about a computer let alone internet. So if Telkom made it more understandable for those folks out there. Im sure they would be more likely to buy a product from Telkom.

• Where do you think the company is losing ground against its competitors?
I would have to go on about Telkom being fairly behind on it's technology when it comes to internet. For starters some less developed countries are able to provide a far better internet product than Telkom. And the price for it is much less too usually.
This is where Telkom loses a TON of ground against any competitor. They need to start picking up the pace and getting new tech and coming up to speed with other countries.
At the moment Im sad to say, Telkom is not "world class" as they put it. But with enough effort and time and investment, they can truly live up to that statement in my opinion.

Also heres a little extra on how I think Telkom can improve
For starters I would like it if Telkom would work harder on upgrading their exchanges all over instead of specific places. I can understand it's a better investment to place new tech where the demand is and where it's needed. But it would be nice if they would go about upgrading places elsewhere over time to support better speeds and so that people can actually get the speed they pay for. It's rather a letdown kinda.
Trials in Pietermaritzburg would be nice. Durban, Joburg and Capetown seem to be the main target of Telkom internet Trials and such. Why not give Pietermaritzburg a chance to test as well? There ARE people interested here such as myself and plenty of others who would love to be on trial tests. Please consider this as this as I really think it should be happening.
