I’ve moved house, requested Telkom to move my dsl line. Openserve contacted me a little while back saying they would rather come pull in fiber in the new place and we set an appointment for yesterday for the techs to come in.

Nobody arrived, nobody phoned me. If I look up the order it just shows that technicians are “on their way”.

I emailed them but nobody had responded to that either, their chat bot is useless. Who do I call?

Who is your ISP, they are supposed to manage that process for you. I would start there.

I never saw this message as for some reason I had logged in to MyBB with the wrong account info and posted as my alter ego.

I've been emailing [email protected] and sending messages on Twitter to no avail.

Anything you can do would help, can I DM you the reference number?

Just to give a short history of the events so far:

- Had an existing VDSL install at my old flat.
- About a month prior to moving to a new house, I requested when I wanted the line moved on the Telkom website.
- At some point weeks before I said I'm moving a Telkom technician phoned me and said he want to come right then to move the line, I told him no as I'm not in the new place yet and I had specifically told them the date I was moving.
- A few days after this I get a call from OpenServe saying that they see I'm moving my DSL line but they don't want to install copper so they want to pull fibre in the new place. I say cool, that sounds great and they give me a reference number and everything.
- The day OS was supposed to show up (3rd of May), I get a call from Telkom saying that they see I want my copper DSL line moved and we should book a date for them. I tell them no, OpenServe has already said they're coming to pull fibre and I have the reference number and everything.

That's about where I am now. More than a week later and nobody has contacted me about why the technicians are more than a week late.

I guess they're taking the scenic route. I don't think there is much else you can do other than complain on social media and maybe HelloPeter.

Finally got a call from a Telkom technician this morning, who then said that no that there is not in fact OpenServe fibre at my address.

Why phone me and say they're going to come install fibre and then not show up or contact me for 2 weeks just to tell me no, there is no fibre.

Cancelled the line anyway yesterday, already have an Octotel line here. Now to just get them to refund me for the 3 weeks of no service I've been paying for.
