How do I maximise hits on a webpage

How do I maximise hits by search engin on a webpage? How do I get my info on the frist page that comes up when someone does a search with a search engin?

go to the link below and submit your site there

www.google.com/addurl

then give it literally a month before it will properly show in google everywhere, there are things u can do to help google like sitemaps and keywords and stuff but in the end google really does their own sorting so its waste of effort.

then what really also helps is to subscribe to adwords and create a few adverts for your site to show when people do searching. using a FEW keywords people will get to your site. adwords cost money but u only pay for actual clicks so is really worth every cent in the end also.

sites like orangesubmit also helps and simply submit to each search engine you can find and sites like ananzi and whoever else you ever use urself to find stuff.

Here's a huge tip for the OP. Posting stuff (like your website) under related topics get you more hits.
 
That's the very tip of the iceberg, but yes.

@OP, I really do hope that you're wanting to find this out for personal purposes, because if this is related to business then I have one word for you mate, and that word is fail.

The point I was trying to make that SEO is about choosing your keywords very carefully.

Obviously a topic like this does NOT hold water in an ADSL ISP discussion forum. Understand?

It's like trying to market your pornographic website on a kindergarden mommy-is-me website. Does not gel. Your target audience are horny guys, not women who already spawned and now looking for how best to get jnr off the breast.

Do you understand that part?
 
Technically to maximise *hits* you can put a ton of small images on the page as each "resource" the page has to load to display results in a hit on your server. As such hits is a rather outdated website performance metric and you should be focussing on pageviews/vists rather.

You will learn alot and get yourself linked on a site that the Google Bot (spider, scooter,crawler) already accesses ie MyBB, post something and lieterally 20+ min later Google has indexed your posting.
