We life in an world where we choose multiple passwords. I have a different one for for bank and Gmail and the same one for all online forums, magazines etc. At work we have to choose a new password every 30 days. I was wondering how people choose ones to remember.

I use a company I hate followed by a terrible swear word then the shift button and something in the top row. For example:
EskomJouMaSeP**S (shift) 2#$.

Next month GuptaSundicationJouPo*s (shift) 3$%

The * is actually a letter but I cant say it here lol.

Personally I use a system where I all my passwords start the same but I use easy to remember keywords for each Website

Examples
Facebook- J0uMaSeTimeline!
Google- J0uMaSeGalaxyS8!
Xbox- J0uMaSeGamerTag!

Use a formula with variables related to the website or place of work. Will give you a unique password for each site and you will only ever have to remember the formula.

for example

Number of characters in company name + major colour in logo + @ + random phrase + 100 - company name length

For Telkom that password would be "6Blue@Moonwalkingonmars94"
For Vodacom the password would be "7Red@Moonwalkingonmars93"

Make the formula as long as you want. For passwords that expire, change the formula or just append a new number to the end of the password.

I have 3 formulas, one for work stuff, one for life, and a much longer one for money related stuff.

Problem is when someone gets a dump off a few of your passports and passes it through a program and it picks up the pattern :D

(I do the same - and was recently shown how easy it would be to crack one +- 10 passwords are known.)
