How does your GPS tell you where to go?

When navigating using a GPS do you use audio turn-by-turn directions or rely on the onscreen visual indicators?

If needs be look it properly on my computer first and then if still needs be some last minute check where is this place hidden non existent. Then again, I don't drive... A car, only my laptop with advanced driving skills.

sometimes she says turn left, but theres a road in between where i need to turn and where i am.

so i use the pictures

Used to do this a lot when I were a techie, but nowadays we've got waze and/or google maps.

I don't need no electronic gadget to help me, I use common sense and a map.

Visual mostly, so that I know which lane I need to be in before the audio kicks in.

Don't use a GPS - check the map, when going to a new area, mentality map the main roads, and step on the pedal.

Don't use a GPS, no one has given me one, and if someone did, it would probably result in my car being broken into, and stolen within a week.
