how is hyundai getz

Greetings guys, i would like to know how is hyundai getz on the road, maintenance and fuel efficiency, i need a car but im planning on getting it on forth quarter in the meantime i thought i should gather such info so that i can know what to go for, i would buy the 1.4 thanks
 
My wife had a Getz we traded in after 155000 problem-free kilometers.

It was the 1.4 model with all the bells and whistles, and it honestly never gave any problems. It was economical, relatively spacious, and didn't feel like plastic, much better than the i20, to be honest.

Will buy one again in a heartbeat.

the new i20 is a big important over the old. To answer your question, the getz is basic transportation - as long as you accept this, the car should be fine.
 
I've had the 1.4 and 1.6 as rentals. Seemed like a solid car. Mostly used around Umhlanga and Ballito, the 1.4 battled with the hills. I would look for a 1.6 if I were you.
 
I was a passenger in an accident. Drove the left front into the back of a truck at about 40km/h. No airbag deployment, but no injuries. Seems pretty solid.
 
Had a 1.4 for a year and half and did 70 km a day. Awesome car. Full featured. Recommended.
 
brilliant car. Same league with old Fiesta ( 2005 - 2009) model. It come with most stuff basic and engine bullet proof.
 
My daughter had the 1.4 sport edition and was recently in an accident, side impact with a Hilux, and the car was totaled, she walked out with barely a scratch though a tad sore from the impact and the Hilux came out the loser.
I don't like the i20 but it is highly rated for safety, and is a lot newer than the Getz, but the Getz is a great car, you can't go wrong with it.
 
Thank you guys, tomorrow im booking for test drive, there is one black beauty going for R80000 2010 model aiming for her:)
 
Btw my only complaint is rapid devaluation. Don't buy a Getz as an investment ...
