How long did your ADSL installation take?

I applied on the 5th August and got it on the 25th.

Not just like that it took a lot of calls to Telkom, spoke to so many different people in different positions and eventually had to threaten to escalate the order to the CEO .. after that it was a matter of days. (20 days from order to installation) Johannesburg area Southern Suburbs.

But I called without fail 3 to 4 times a day.

2.5 weeks with a self install

I've applied mid May 2006 I'm stil waiting. I've phone a lot of times asking WHEN,WHEN,WHEN, even Spoke to the manager in charge of Telkom ADSL.
"I've marked it urgent and will come back to you!" Ja right I'm still waiting.

Ordered in March, still waiting. Rawr.

The line I'm looking to upgrade is on special equipment, 0+2, so I've asked them now if they can switch it and my other line as part of the install.

From the lack of any kind of progress we've had so far though, I really don't know how we'll be able to tell whether it's made any difference.

Hi all,

Applied at Centurion Mall office 25 August, asked for self install, 6 September got a call from Telkom asking if the Technician can come and install on the 15th August, I informed him that I had asked for a self install, he told me the connection will be done within 7 days.

Got home the 6th, ADSL light steady on the modem, connected to the exchange and yesterday did the Web Africa pre paid and started sufing.

So 7 working days for my ADSL.

Just over 6 months in total.
