A six pack and maybe one or two more if it's a long time, and that's castle lite or hansa 330ml bottles.

Edit: How old are you just for the record. Thinking back to our youth we could drink a whole lot more without falling over and no hangovers the next day.

I would be 43, a non smoker and believe it or not swim 40 minutes every day of the week.... I have been drinking beer since i was 16.....

Depends. If there are snacks before the braai I'll probably do 6 beers (330 ml Black Label or Windhoek) and feel good. If I'm on an empty stomach, 4 beers and I'll have to stop. Also, once I've eaten I can't drink anymore for a while, especially if I was drinking Black Label as that is a ''heavy'' beer. Also depends on the atmosphere. If there is energy (music, good convo, big sports event, any combination of the three) I could stretch that to 10 beers and while I'll be on it I won't be stumbling around and slurring.

My local bar has a leader board for one litre beer mugs. Some guy drank 16 in one go. That's 48 cans of beer

I'll drink at least a 6 pack at a braai.

Usually As much as there is, so I only take a 6-pack for an evening braai. 12 if its a potjie and starts in the afternoon.

Mine nags me and I drink 8 x 440ml Black Labels maximum (usually it's about 4).

This is an honesty question, not for bragging rights....

I live in a mining town and grew up amongst hard drinkers....

Times have changed and most hard drinkers have died or moved on...

On average around the Saturday Braai Fire, how much dop would you consume?

I will consume 17 x 440ml cans of WHK draught.....

Now many visitors to our mining town, take a 2nd look at this.... but there are dutchmen here that don't think twice about knocking back 4 or 5 340ml beers for a starter, then a bottle of brandy with a smattering of shorts, let's make that four shorts to be fair....

So in all honesty, how much do you consume around the braai on Saturday Afternoon?

If the braai is at a friend's, then I drink about 10 340ml dumpies (5.5%). Only because I have to drive home and I'm under the limit after this number of beers over several hours. (Hint: I weigh more than MortyMoose).

When at home though, the sky is the limit. I buy a case and maybe have 6 left over in the morning. The numbers are skewed though because friends bring theirs, I drink from their stash, they drink from my stash, and I usually stop caring to count at 14...

Jeesh... and I thought I was a light drinker.....
I normally start wit a couple of Black Labels. Move on to a bottle of brandy with some shots in between. By that time I'm really thirsty, and start on the wifes wine. Or just share whatever there is.
I know a guy that drinks a bottle of brandy each and every day of the week, and still get up at 4:30 and do a days work.....
At a braai he would easily finish 2 bottles and still talk more sence then some.
