How many GB's would you settle for?

I think the Pre-November 2005 pricing was relatively good.

R200 for 30GB international, BUT local has to be uncapped always. Also drop the port shapng.

Personally I use about 100GB for my R1400 pm uncapped connection, but would dearly like to afford a new Car with the difference. Shocking that in my business I spend more money on internet than I do on traveling 700Km per month.

I would say that 30Gb unshaped for R200 is fine, or uncapped even with fair usage policy (not the fact that you've gone over 100Gb's but that you dont download big files in the middle of the day / business hours. Thats only fair to the people emailing at work :D

and where does one get these excellent prices from ???

i am looking at signing up for an ADSL closer option, what would your expert advice for a newbie be ? do i use telkom as service provider or another

plz plz need your advice, totally confused and lost in the short grass :)

More speed then more c@p ^_^

Gimme a 100mbps up/down line then we can talk about usage :D

Realistically I want sumthing faster than this 4mbps cr@p , just too sloow

Yeah. 100mb/s will get stretched out too soon though. For what ill be doing, good game server hosting (many of course) and NNTP servers, id say 1gb/s up down. Id easily use 1tb+ while delivering a premium usenet access to the people of South Africa.
/me dreams on..

I'd be comfortable with 30 GB/month@R200 (inclu line@4mb, and uncapped local - like the regulations that Telkom refusesto comply with say.)

At the very least 30gb(int) and uncapped local at an all-in price of R200pm...

Given what I've been doing on the net of late at work, I've gone through 300Gb's in 2 weeks (and none of it was illegal torrent stuff).. so to factor in a lil bit of that type of activity.. i'd reckon 1Tb int and uncapped local for about R1k pm would do just about fine thanks.

5 GB international access and uncapped local for R200 a month, ADSL (1 MB at least, I know 1 MB is currently 4MB but IPTV is going to require faster DSL so perhaps 384 will be bumped up ;)) line fee included ...

so other countries have local uncapped?
I cant think of any other country that actually differentiates between local and international.

EDIT - obviously there are countries like China that do . . .

I think some Eastern European countries do. Ukraine seems to jump to mind.

I do stand to be corrected on this though.

if in Sweden they pay 40-50 eur for uncapped unshaped 100mb line i think ill settle for

R400 uncapped 4mb

If I had to.. probably something like 30GB would be enough. I just don't download that much anymore, theres a limit to how much useless crap you can download, after 2 or 3 months of uncapped on a 4mb line, I'd be stumped.

Uncapped is peace of mind, we shouldn't be fueling the capping propoganda. :)

I'm already stumped as to what to download. Last week it got so bad that I was searching around for decent wallpapers!!

Ah well, September should end the dry spell, when all the good stuff resumes again :D
