Net addicts - how much do you sleep at night (Related to Slim's Bioplus)

I go to bed at midnight and wake up at 5:30 to leave for the office early and miss the traffic on the N1

It is not enough really so I catch up on my sleep "debt" over weekends.

Usually round 12, but if I get hooked on a game or reading up on something I can go to bed as late as 3am before realising what time it is. Needless to say, the following day sucks.

10pm the earliest, average around 11:30pm, latest around 2am. up at 7am (god i love living close to the office)

Between 1.00 and 2:30 AM most nights. Weekends can be later, anywhere up to 4am. I normally get up by about 8.00am for work tho. I used to get to work by 10:00-10:30 until recently my boss has asked me to be in by 9 (but I've yet to achieve that), but I havent been able to get to bed any earlier. Might start becoming a problem later, but I'll deal with it then. ;-)

There just isnt enough time in a day to do all those fun things!!!!!!

21:30-05:00=7 hours of sleep. On Thursdays I sleep after 22:00 depending on what's on TV, and I get up at 7:30 or 8:00 on Friday mornings. I love Fridays cause I start at 9:00 or 9:30 then go to the bar at 16:30.

sometiems I stay up for days at a time

They did an experiment on sleep disorders and a volunteer (world record holder) stayed awake for 18 days.

He reported hallucinations, paranoia, blurred vision, slurred speech and memory and concentration lapses.

Hmmm this could explain some your posts around here :).

well, actually, it has been proven that sleep deprivation actually speeds up the mind

Not according to the studies done so far. Take this report for example: http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/bb/neuro/neuro01/web3/Ledoux.html

Sleep deprived test subjects have difficulties thinking of imaginative words or ideas. Instead, they tend to choose repetitious words or clichéd phrases. Also, a sleep-deprived individual is less able to deliver a statement well. The subject may show signs of slurred speech, stuttering, speaking in a monotone voice, or speaking at a slower pace than usual (6). Subjects in research studies also have a more difficult time reacting well to unpredicted rapid changes. Sleep deprived people do not have the speed or creative abilities to cope with making quick but logical decisions, nor do they have the ability to implement them well.

And if me and Tibby are thinking of the same guy then the world record belongs to Randy Gardner, who stayed awake for a bit more than 11 days in the 1960's. Don't know if the record has been broken since?

Normally aim for 1AM, wake up at 8AM or whenever after that.. but same as TMoose if i get hooked on a game or googling or whatever 1 could turn into 3 or later..

Try and go to bed @ around 22:00-23:00...but have to wake up at 6 :(

Well at least I get enough sleep :)

i usuall goto bed at 1am-2am, and get up at about 8

What is the reccomended amount of sleep for a adult? 8 hrs?

its 8 for adults and 10 for childeren under the age of 13...:)

I came across some dude who was selling an ebook about how too much sleep is bad for you, and how you could wake up every day after 4 hours or less feeling great (Right).
But only if you followed his special sooper dooper technique that no-one else knows about, etc etc, ad infinitum.

Can't remember the guy's name, or the book for that matter. It didn't interest me much. I like my sleep.
