Am just interested to see if anyone's racking up so many points from top-ups that they've gotten a cellphone or anything. R15000 for a cheap phone, and must be within an 18 month period. wow.
Since it started i think i've manged a 150sms bundle n thats about it.
coincidentally march is the 18th month since it started aswell.

Contract - no talking points :(

Also contract, don't see why we shouldn't benefit from it too, the contract ARPU is far higher than the prepaid one I'm sure.

ARPU?

Yes I agree we should benifit too.

But something like under 5% AFAIK is contract customers with Vodacom.

ARPU = Average Revenue Per User, basically monthly income divided by number of subscribers.

I'm surprised they've kept the scheme going for so long. I expected them to do the SAA Voyager thing - wait 'till everyone has enough for a R100 voucher and then start something afresh.

i dont know.. the advert kinda gets you thinking that you could get a cool phone like that SE, but in reality the sheer amount of time you'd need spend talking to get a phone like that would be staggering...

i suppose anyone who spends that amount of time speaking on a cellphone would have a contract and not be on prepaid?

anyone have any idea of how many minutes you need to speak per month on average to get something like that?
